WTKR News 3 recently premiered its brand new set. The colorful, contemporary set is designed to enhance viewers’ experiences by providing more versatility, allowing anchors, reporters and meteorologists to report from multiple areas.
Noticeable highlights include LED video walls, a multipurpose/interview area with three 65-inch monitors, a giant video wall using nine 50-inch monitors and a weather/traffic center with a large work area equipped with a 70-inch touchscreen monitor that gives the First Warning Weather team the ability to cover the weather with multiple meteorologists. Backlit panels are used throughout the set, accenting the monitors, which can display every color of the rainbow.
The set, combined with new graphics launched over the summer, completes an exciting overhaul for WTKR News 3 and creates a lot of momentum for the CBS affiliate heading into the fall television season.
